šŸ‘€ Before Starting

Please think about the following things when adding a shipping integration with Sparqle: Validate different scenarios you may encounter in daily operations. Do you allow for in-store pickups? If yes make sure that you communicate this to Sparqle and place a test order before going live. This makes sure this is handled the right way and only local deliveries are pushed to Sparqle for delivery.

  • As a starter: Make sure you have your Shopify account ready.

āœØ Configuration Steps

Follow the below steps in order to configure your integration with Sparqle.

  • Step 1: In Shopify create a Webhook, Page: Settings >> Notifications >> Webhooks

  • Step 2: Add the following details:

  • Step 3: Add Local delivery, Page: Settings >> Shipping and delivery >> Local delivery

  • Step 4: Make sure to select your store under Local delivery and select the following checkbox:

    • *This location offers local delivery

  • Step 5: Add the following details

    • Checkbox: Use postal codes

    • Add Zone Name: e.g. ā€œLocal Delivery with Sparqleā€

    • Postal codes: add postal code list

    • Ex. Amsterdam:

šŸ›« Testing & Go-Live

Make sure to always provide some test orders, cancel orders and add orders for local delivery, pick up in-store and delivery in other postal code areas in order to validate the integration and confirm the configuration. Lastly, double check your Shopify integration by answering these questions:

  • [ ] Question 1: Are orders created in Sparqle? - ask to verify

  • [ ] Question 2: Confirm if only local delivery orders in the right postal code area are added - ask to verify

  • [ ] Question 3: Confirm if a cancelled order is actually removed from the Sparqle order management system - ask Sparqle to confirm

  • [ ] Question 4: Confirm if store managers are informed about the pickup times and understand the process for making the packages ready for our riders.
