What is an IBAN?
An IBAN, or International Bank Account Number, is a unique identifier for an individual's international bank account. This number indicates the bank and the country where the account is held.
Finding Your IBAN
Your own IBAN can be found on your debit card and on your bank statement. The number consists of 18 letters and digits, starting with the country code (in the Netherlands, it is NL). The IBAN of the other party can be found on the invoice or can be requested.
It is important to verify your IBAN to ensure that your payment goes to the correct account.
